jrock is producer/engineer Jamie Siegel. A New York native, Jamie graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1997.

He went on to a staff engineering position at Chung King Studios (NYC), working on projects with a wide range of artists, including Lauryn Hill, Smashing Pumpkins, Whitney Houston, among others.

Along the way, he developed a close relationship with Lauryn, working first on her Grammy award-winning solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, and was eventually recruited to work as her home studio engineer.

Subsequent projects included collaborations with Commissioner Gordon (Del Amitri, Santana, Bob Marley, etc). at whose NJ-based studio, The Headquarters, Jamie has lent his expertise as house engineer.

A lifelong musician himself, Jamie brings extensive knowledge and devotion to the recording process. He is extremely well-versed in both digital and analog recording techniques, and can skillfully guide any project from tracking through to mastering.

Jamie has enjoyed working with local NY bands and solo artists, combining his musical and technical background to enhance any project he takes on. Now that Noisehead has made the whole world local, he looks forward to working with you.

Testimonials
Justin Currie, of Del Amitri

Having worked with Jamie with Commissioner Gordon recording and mixing the last (and most technically complex) Del Amitri album 'Can You Do Me Good ', I consider him one of the best, most diligent and patient engineer/producers that we ever worked with in twenty years of studio work. Having great ears, huge enthusiasm and very good musical instincts is a combination all too rarely found in a single producer. Jamie has not only those talents but a quick sense of humour ready to defuse the most tense of moments in the creative process. I consider this last attribute by far the most important!

I have had the pleasure of working withJamie Siegel for over 6 years now and in my estimation, not only is he an excellent producer, and an amazing engineer but he is one of the most resourceful people I know. Always "pushing the envelope" with technology he has a true respect for musicianship and the foundation upon which this business of was built.

Matthew Rubano, of Taking Back Sunday and Lauryn Hill)

I have worked with Jamie in a number of different types of musical situations and he always shines no matter what the occasion. As a producer Jamie knows how to accomplish things in a fun and creative way that isnt excessively time consuming. He is a tremendously skilled producer/ engineer and the session always runs smoothly. Jamie has been integral in some of the most enjoyable and monumental moments of my career and I always look forward to the opportunity to create music with him.
